The National Weather Service office in Riverton is warning that some areas across Wyoming could see flooding due to warming temperatures and rapid snowmelt.
Snowmelt below 8,000 feet of elevation is expected to increase because temperatures will steadily be above freezing, and reach the lower 50’s in many areas.
National Weather Service staff says that “sheet flooding” could occur and possibly cause issues with ice jams in area rivers and creeks.
