UPDATE – As of 11:11 AM, WY 28 South Pass roads have opened, and the no unnecessary travel advisory for WY 789 “Between Lander and Hudson” has been lifted.
(Fremont County, WY) – As of 9:30 AM, March 7, WYDOT has issued multiple closures and advisories for Fremont County area roads.
South Pass currently remains closed to all travel “Between the Fremont/Sublette Cty Line and Atlantic City Rd.;” “Between Atlantic City Rd and Mile Marker 63, Westbound Closure Gate;” and “Between Mile Marker 63, Westbound Closure Gate and US 287 / WY 789.”
The estimated opening time for these roads is still unknown.
No unnecessary travel advisories have also been issued for the following roads:
- WY 789 – “Between Lander and Hudson;” “Wet, Slick in Spots with Snowfall”
- WY 136 – “Between WY 135 and Gas Hills;” “Slick with Snowfall”
WYDOT also issued black ice advisories for US 26/287 “Between the E Boundary of Grand Teton Nat’l Park and Lava Mountain Lodge” and “Between Lava Mountain Lodge and Dubois.”
