(Fremont County, WY) – WY 28 roads in the South Pass area are currently closed to light, high-profile vehicles for March 16, as of at least 12:00 PM, due to dangerous winds and extreme blowover risk, according to WYDOT/wyoroad.info.
The closure is in effect for areas “Between the Fremont/Sublette Cty Line and Atlantic City Rd.;” “Between Atlantic City Rd and Mile Marker 63, Westbound Closure Gate;” and “Between Mile Marker 63, Westbound Closure Gate and US 287 / WY 789.”
Conditions on these roads range from “Slick in Spots, Drifted Snow, Slush with Dangerous Winds” to “Slick in Spots, Drifted Snow with Dangerous Winds,” to “Dry with Dangerous Winds.”
The roads are closed to all high-profile vehicles under 50000 GVW.
