The Fremont County Solid Waste Disposal District is hosting a free drop off event to dispose of household hazardous waste on July 25 at the Riverton Transfer Station, 329 North Smith Road. The hours for drop off will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Hazardous items accepted:
- Oils & Antifreeze
- Batteries
- Oil-Based Paints
- Aerosols
- Solvents
- Agricultural Chemicals
- Freon
- Unknown Materials (Will be screened onsite to determine acceptance)
Unacceptable items include:
- Explosives
- Radioactive Waste
- Asbestos
Always free and acceptable: Standard recyclables, Scrap metal, Appliances, Electronic waste, and Latex paint.
