UPDATE: The Town of Hudson has since deleted the original post from its Facebook page, and shared the following statement on April 24:
“Due to more information coming to light, there was no hit-and-run. The post has been deleted. In any event, please slow down on our streets.”
(Hudson, WY) – A child was left “sore but okay” after reportedly being hit by a vehicle that drove away from the scene, according to a recent post shared on the Town of Hudson Facebook page on April 22.
“One of Hudson’s children was hit by a hit-and-run driver while riding their scooter last night,” the post states before noting the child’s condition.
“We have requested the Sheriff’s Office do some extra patrolling around our streets to help us curb the speeding around town,” the post also shares. “Please be mindful that with the warmer weather, kids will be out and about. Drive safe and slow down.”
