(Uinta County, WY) – Bridger Valley Fire and EMS crews were dispatched to Interstate 80 early Friday morning for a report of a semi-truck on fire.
Upon arrival, emergency crews determined there were two semi-trucks involved. One truck had rear-ended another truck and then caught fire. Two people were transported to Evanston Regional Hospital. Their conditions are unknown at this time.
The incident occurred on the westbound side of the interstate near mile post 30, between Evanston and the Mountain View/Lyman exits.
While authorities worked to extinguish the blaze and clean-up, traffic was slowed for several minutes with the left lane restricted.
As of 9:00 a.m. traffic is flowing in both lanes of Interstate 80 westbound and conditions via WyoRoad.info are listed as “dry.”
