In loving memory, Carol Ann Hatcher (Nowlin)

Our beloved Carol Ann Hatcher (née Nowlin) passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of February 9, 2025, at Fort Myers, Florida, after a short illness. She was 82.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of her life will occur later this year in Wyoming.
Carol was born on September 30, 1942, in Lander, Wyoming. An enrolled member of the Eastern Shoshone Indian Tribe, she spent much of her early life on horseback as part of a cattle ranching family in and around the Wind River Indian Reservation in west-central Wyoming, a place she loved, particularly Crowheart, Dubois, and Fort Washakie. Later in life she lived in Ogden, Utah; Peninsula, Ohio; and Fort Myers, Florida, where she worked for many years as a Registered Nurse in the ICU and Critical Care units of the Lee Memorial Hospital system.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Allyene Palmer (Richard); father, Pete Nowlin; brother Preston; and sister, Susie Nowlin. She is survived by sons Rick Bishop Ferris (Chris), Pete Bishop (Carole), and Wes Hatcher; daughter, Tracy Haver (Denny); brother Danny Nowlin (Janice); grandchildren Jenny Haver, Rob Haver (Melissa), and Joseph Haver (Katie); Corbie, Crispin, and Preston Bishop; great-grandchildren Luke, Jace, Jack, and Rachel; nieces Heather Py and Chrissie Nowlin; nephew Charles Hunt; along with a number of great-nephews and -nieces, and cousins.
Carol had many special people in her life, including her above-mentioned stepfather, Richard “Dick” Palmer; Rick Palmer; “Palmer sisters,” Laura, Susie, and Pam; spiritual sister Helen Thompson; former husbands Ron Hatcher and Loren “Corbie” Bishop (deceased); and, very specially, dear friend Chuck Hunt.
We take this opportunity to acknowledge the outpouring of condolences we have received from Carol’s many admirers. We thank and wish we could name you all.
Finally, Carol lived her life with an unshakeable belief in the divinity, grace, and mercy of Jesus Christ and that when she died, she would be taken up by Him to live in everlasting bliss, surrounded by all her loved ones, dogs, cats, and horses included.
