Coker Lee Haukaas, 47, of Cody, Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on March 13, 2026. He was born in Riverton, Wyoming, on August 5, 1978.
Coker spent most of his younger years in Northern Idaho, with many of his summers spent around his family on the Wind River Reservation. In 2011, he moved back to the Wind River Reservation to attend college and help care for his grandmother, Sandra Burnett. It was there that he met his future wife, Charity. In May 2014, Coker graduated as valedictorian from Central Wyoming College with an Associate of Science in Business Administration.
In 2014, Coker and Charity moved to Cody, Wyoming, where their son, Roman, was born. Coker built his own professional painting business from the ground up and became very successful. He was known for his strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pursuit of perfection.
In 2021, they were blessed to add Jesiah to their family. Coker loved playing with his boys, teasing his wife, and spending time with family. He especially enjoyed swimming, fishing, bike riding, horse riding, hunting, and finding any excuse for an outdoor adventure. A big “kid” at heart, Coker treasured every moment he could play and laugh. If there was a chance to make someone smile, he took it. He was a constant jokester and a true master of “dad” jokes.
