Gerald R. Welch age 68 passed away November 8, 2024, in Casper, Wyoming. Gerald was born to John E. and Dorris E. Welch on July 31, 1956.
Gerald graduated from Kelly Walsh High School in 1974. Gerald was an Eagle Scout and Scout leader. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to hike and hunt, often referred to as the “mountain man” by his friends and family. He was active in his local Church with a strong Christ like personality, loved to help people and his thoughtfulness will live on through his organ/tissue donation. He set an example for many young people, and had a fun loving personality with a caring attitude. He was well known in the community of Lander and owned Tumbleweed Construction. He took extensive pride in the work he performed.
Gerald is preceded in death by both his parents. He leaves behind three siblings, Linda Richardson (Josh), Brad Welch (Karen) and Gloria Bicknese (David), four nieces Nicole Wollbrink-Wofford, Lindsey Welch, Sarah Webb (Mike) and Megan Konetzki (Andrew) and his nephew Aaron Bicknese (Taylor). His great nieces and nephews Alexis Wofford, Sheridan, Clayton and Emerson Decker, Houston and Cameron Konetzki, Peyton Webb, Avery and Reese Bicknese, many cousins, and his dear friends and hunting partners Marshall Gdula and Barry Perryman (Mary).
A celebration of life is being planned at the Church of Christ in Lander with the date to be announced.
