Gordon Robert Northcott

Gordon Robert Northcott entered this world on May 7, 1976, and from that day forward, the world was forever changed.
Gordon took immense pride in his work, and anyone could spot a project that had been “Gordofied.” His love for all creatures ran deep, reflected in the thoughtful touches like squirrel runways built into his fences. Carpentry was in his true nature.
Friendship came easily to Gordon, and loyalty was a value he fiercely upheld. His heart was even bigger than his hardworking hands.
Fatherhood was central to Gordon’s life, and he cherished his children—Leona Beth, Knox Anthony, Dolores Kateri, and Joseph Aloysius. He was honored to help nurture Alicia’s children: Aaliyah Mae, Kagan John, and Zayne Ryder.
Gordon lived for the thrill of live music, the beauty of a well-thrown disc, and the exhilaration of climbing treetops—even when the wind carried him too high. He was deeply rooted in his community, always generous, and known to treat everyone to breakfast.
He spoke of Alicia as the love of his life, dreaming of vacations to Moab and Four Corners. Their porch was to hold the bones of their rocking chairs filled with the plans they had. Ginger (his cat) and Alicia will lap it up and continue rocking together.
Gordon was a protector of his people, entering every challenge with unmatched ferocity, the first to step in and the last to back down. His wild nature made him untamed, but his presence was a foundation for many. There were barriers he couldn’t break, and we saw how it dimmed the man we loved. But even in his darkest moments, his heart still found ways to shine.
His laugh, smile, and boundless energy will be remembered always.
