Joseph (Joe) William Richardson, 62, of Pahrump, Nevada, passed away August 29, 2024 after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. Joe was born on May 10, 1962 to Cecil and Avis Richardson of Pavillion, Wyoming.
He graduated from Wind River High School in 1980, and went straight into the workforce. Joe and his former wife Jacque Wasson went on to have four children, Darol Richardson of Casper, WY, Danielle Martinez of Pahrump, NV, Chance Richardson of Lander, WY, and Christa Nettles of Riverton, WY.
In 2010, Joe met his wife Cindy Richardson and they married in 2011. Joe loved to spend his time cooking, gardening, swimming in his pool, smoking meats on his patio, going to the Moose Lodge, and snuggling with his dogs. Family was always very important to Joe and Cindy and they spent as much time as possible with loved ones making memories of a lifetime.
Joe had a zest for life and woke up everyday happy, no matter the circumstances. He loved to tell jokes and reminisce about his childhood, where he and his siblings helped out on their uncle's farm. Joe was a hard worker and always did whatever it took to provide for his family and loved ones. Joe was kind to everyone whether it was a family member, a stranger or an animal. When Joe walked into a room, it immediately became lighter and brighter.
Joe was preceded by his parents, Cecil and Avis Richardson. He is survived by his wife Cindy Richardson, his siblings, brother Roger Richardson (wife, Josie), brother Warren Richardson, sister Becky Crowley (husband Dennis), and sister Elaine Wiltsey (husband Rob); his children Darol (wife Jackie), Danielle (husband Jay), Chance (wife Shelby), and Christa (husband Jared), his ten grandchildren and his stepchildren, Nikki, Daniel, and Levon.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Chandelle Event Center, 3445 Chandelle BLVD., in Riverton on October 26th at 1:00 P.M. There will be no dress-code. Please join us in celebrating the stories and memories we all have of Joe
