Linda E. Miller, age 78, of Olney, Illinois, formerly of Riverton, Wyoming, passed away peacefully with her daughters at her side.
Linda was born on December 31, 1946, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and was adopted on April 13, 1947, by Woodrow and Louise Smith of Casper, Wyoming.
Linda married John Miller in 1964 in Casper, Wyoming and together they had two daughters.
She is survived by her daughters, Shelly (Mike) McMillan, The Villages, FL., and Tanya (Ben) Lathrop, Claremont, IL.; her brother Dennis (Deb) Smith, Casper, WY.; brother-in-law Harry (Jill) Miller, Casper, WY.; four grandsons, Chad and Cody (Nikki) Baudendistel, Gus and Gavin Lathrop; three great-grandchildren, Lexi Wyatt and Prezley Baudendistel of Manila, AR, and Garrett Lathrop of Olney; and her nephew Dejoe Smith of Ralston, WY. She is also survived by her former husband, John Miller.
A dedicated homemaker for much of her life, Linda took pride in caring for her family. Later in life, she fulfilled a personal dream by earning her nail technician degree in 2009, an achievement she was especially proud of.
She enjoyed camping, reading, crocheting, and ceramics, and found joy in the simple pleasures of life and the beauty of nature. Sinks Canyon in Lander, Wyoming, held a special place in her heart.
Cremation rites were accorded. A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date at her favorite place, Sinks Canyon, in Lander, Wyoming.
Linda will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and the deep love she had for her family. Her presence will be missed, but her spirit lives on in those who knew and loved her.
