On the evening of March 31st, 2026, a full moon hung in the sky and Michael Edward Meyer breathed his last earthly breath
Born in Kabul, Afghanistan November 24, 1958 to Patsy and Edward Meyer.
His childhood was spent on a beautiful Wyoming farm, growing up alongside brother Brad and sisters, Linda and Cindy. Michael had fond memories of childhood, maintaining a forever connection with his childhood chums and school friends. It was in those early years that his wacky humor and creativity sparked.
College took him first to Central Wyoming College in the fabulous Riverton, Wyoming, before he transitioned to Stephens College of Columbia, Missouri, an all women’s college on a special theatre scholarship. Graduating with a BFA in theatre arts, an expansive career as a noteworthy actor, director, theatre professional spanned many decades: an equity apprenticeship at the Barn Theatre in Augusta, Michigan, touring with the Missoula Children’s Theatre, over a decade working at the Oregon Shakespeare Theatre in Ashland, Oregon where his backstage antics were much appreciated, artistic director of Ashland Community Theatre, and always a highly sought after performer of both stage and screen where he brought much talent, enthusiasm, laughter, kindness and levity to every production.
