Please join in the Memorial with family and friends for Rex L. Huggins who passed away December 27th, 2024, in Mesa, AZ, to be at Hudson’s Funeral Home on June 27th, 2025, at 4:00 pm with a reception immediately following at the Lander Senior Center.
Rex was born in Lugert, Oklahoma on September 11th, 1935, and lived on Boulder Flats for over 40 years, having lived in California before moving to the beautiful wide open spaces of Wyoming.
Rex was preceded in death by his parents Rose and Howard Huggins, half sister Ruth Anne Capehart and in-laws Eth and Alice Jones.
Rex is survived by his wife Barbara, whom he married on December 7th, 1973 in Wilmington, California. Rex is also survived by daughters Sheree Phillips (Dennis) and Kim Preston (George), son Kenny Huggins and stepdaughter Tami Lorenzen-Fanselow (Bob) as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Brother and Sister-in-laws, Tom and Mary Jones.
Rex was a Navy Veteran serving from 1953-1956. He retired several times before it became permanent after being a snowbird in Mesa, Az and that being permanent in 2016.
