Funeral services for lifelong Riverton resident, Sandra “Sandi” Stover, 75, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the United Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A Viewing will be held 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 30, 2025 at Davis Funeral Home as well as one hour prior to services at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wind River Dialysis in care of Davis Funeral Home, 2203 West Main St., Riverton, WY 82501.
Sandra “Sandi” Lee Stover passed away peacefully at her home in Riverton on Saturday, May 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on December 27, 1949, in Riverton, Wyoming, the daughter of Donald L. and Billie B. (Milnes) Marlatt. Sandi graduated from Riverton High School with the Class of 1968.
At the age of 14, Sandi began working at the Wheel In Drive-In. Over the years, she held various positions in the community, including at Tasty Freeze and A&W—where she met the love of her life. Her career also included work at Powell’s Bootery, Ward’s New and Used Iron, Weber Harvesting, Amoco, and 28 years of dedicated service with Fremont County School District #25. She also worked for Uplift, 307 Financial, and co-owned ABC Sign, Inc. alongside her husband, Wayne.
On June 28, 1968, Sandi married Wayne Stover at the First Baptist Church in Riverton. They shared a loving partnership that spanned decades.
Sandi was deeply involved in her faith and community. She served as the State Acteens Director for the Southern Baptist Northern Plains and as a youth Sunday school teacher.
Her hobbies included reading, gardening, crafting, and camping. In her younger years, she enjoyed riding motorcycles and stock car racing. Above all, Sandi cherished spending time with her great-grandbabies, creating lasting memories filled with love.
Survivors include her husband, of almost 57 years, Wayne Stover of Riverton, WY; sons, Scott (Suzi Yokum-Stover) Stover of Clearville, PA and their children, Jake (Jillian) Stover, Benjamin Stover and Anna Belle Stover; son, Charles (Yvonne) Beard of Green River, WY and their children, Bill Beard, Curt (Riley) Beard, Angelique (Steele) Muggelberg, and all of Green River; daughters, Windi (Randy) Cragoe of Rawlins, WY and their daughter, Desi Cragoe, along with Desi’s children, Jhett Waters and Asher Cragoe; daughter, Stormie (Jed) Rodgers of Gillette, Wy and their children, Shadow (Kevan) Hundley and Shadow and Kevan’s children, Ryker, Kassandra, Kyzer and Jaxon Hundley; Stormie and Jed’s 2 other children, Shaide Stover and Skie (Kelby) Phillips; sister, Debbie (John) Larson of Windsor, CO; sister-in-law, Joyce Marlatt.
Mrs. Stover was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Billie Marlatt; brother, Lynn Marlatt; her in-law’s, Joseph and Violet Stover and her brother-in-law, Joseph Stover.
