In loving memory, Wesley Andersen

Wesley Joseph Andersen, 64, passed away August 22, 2024 at Central Wyoming Hospice in Casper, Wy after a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a long-time resident of Lander, Wy.
Wesley was born November 23, 1959 in Gordon, Nebraska; the son of (Andy) William Joseph Andersen and Marjorie Jean Musfelt.
He attended schools in Lander, Wyoming graduating with the class of 1979.
He worked at Safeway for 46 1/2 years until he became sick in October, 2023.
Wes loved history trivia. He was an expert at remembering names and dates. He loved listening to old country music and watching old shows and movies on TV. One of Wes's favorite memories was being the sports manager in High School.
Survivors include two sisters, Sherrie West of Lander, Wy and Debbie Hawkins of Rock Springs, Wy; Four Nieces, Tara Shalata of Rock Springs, Melissa Bates of Rock Springs, Trisha West of Lander and Jennifer Green of Arvada, Co; and step-mom Anne Gwiazdowski of Pennsylvania.
He was preceded in death by his parents; (Andy) William Andersen and Bill and Marjorie Inscore; and 2 brothers-in-law, Arnie West, Jr. and Andy Hawkins.
The family respectfully requests donations to be made in Wesley's memory to Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions, 304 S. Fenway, Casper, Wy 82601.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 13, 2024 at the city of Lander Mt Hope Cemetary.
