Willis (Wid) Lee Tressler, age 65, passed away March 16, 2026 in Salt Lake City after a long illness. He was born on December 10, 1960 in Casper, Wyoming and raised in Thermopolis, Wyoming. Willis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed coin collecting, hunting, fishing, camping, rock hunting, backpacking and just being outdoors.
He received a welding certification at the Certified Welding and Trade School in Casper and worked as a welder at Jacobs Ranch Mine. He also worked in West Yellowstone, Montana, at a horse concession, where he enjoyed sharing the outdoors with visitors through scenic trail rides, cowboy cookouts, and wrangler and other western experiences. Later in life, he dedicated many years to taking care of a local rest area, where he took pride in his work and in serving the community.
