The Wyoming Department of Transportation has closed Interstate 80 westbound between the Nebraska State Line and Cheyenne due to a crash Sunday afternoon.
Before the reported pileup, Interstate 80 between Rawlins and Cheyenne had been closed both directions due to winter conditions and crashes. Stretches between Rawlins and Rock Springs were also closed.
Terry Butler posted in the “Wyoming Road and Weather Conditions Report Update” Facebook group that at least 10 semi trucks and 5 cars were involved in the crash. Butler also reported that several vehicles are halted behind the wreck.
