Jackson Hole Still Works has opened submissions for the 2026 Spirit of Wyoming Label Art Contest, a statewide competition that celebrates Wyoming artists and supports the arts through an ongoing partnership with the Wyoming Arts Council.
Now in its tenth year, the contest continues to elevate artists and strengthen the creative economy through one of Wyoming’s most distinctive business-led arts initiatives. What began as an innovative design decision by Jackson Hole Still Works founders Chas Marsh and Travis Goodman has become a celebrated statewide collaboration combining art, entrepreneurship, and community impact.
The Spirit of Wyoming Label Art Contest invites artists from across Wyoming and Teton County, Idaho, to submit original artwork inspired by the theme “Wyoming.” The winning piece will be featured on the back label of Jackson Hole Still Works Vodka bottles for one year. The selected artist will receive a $2,500 cash award, a six-bottle case featuring their artwork, and statewide recognition. Eight finalists will also receive featured promotion and two bottles of Jackson Hole Still Works Vodka.
Artists must be 21 years or older to apply. Submissions, including a digital portfolio of seven to nine works, are due by Jan. 12, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. MST through the CaFÉ platform at callforentry.org.
A panel of jurors representing the Wyoming Arts Council, Jackson Hole Still Works, and past winners will select eight finalists. The public will be invited to participate in a virtual voting period Jan. 28–30, 2026, to help determine the winning artwork. The contest will culminate with an in-person celebration and winner announcement at Jackson Hole Still Works on Jan. 30, 2026. Following the announcement, all eight works will be available through a silent auction, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Wyoming Arts Council and the Governor’s Arts Awards.
“It’s a really unique setup, a private business that supports artists directly. I can’t think of another program that exists with this kind of structure,” said Rachel Clifton, Wyoming Arts Council executive director. “Jackson Hole Still Works continues to demonstrate how creative partnerships can make a lasting difference in Wyoming’s arts ecosystem. Reaching the tenth anniversary of this program is a milestone worth celebrating. It shows what’s possible when local businesses invest directly in the creative community. It’s amazing that this has sprung from their love of the arts and their desire to support artists.”
Jackson Hole Still Works is an independent craft distillery in Jackson, producing small-batch, grain-to-glass spirits made entirely in Wyoming. Founded with a mission to capture the flavor of the Wyoming mountain life experience, the company is equally committed to giving back through arts initiatives and local partnerships that celebrate the state’s culture and creativity.
