(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for a regular meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 6, and have provided the following recap of the meeting.
- It was approved to designate the following depositories for Fremont County government for 2026: Dubois: Bank of Jackson Hole and Wyoming Community Bank; Lander: BMO Bank, Central Bank and Trust, First Interstate Bank, and Wyoming Community Bank; Riverton: BMO Bank, Central Bank and Trust, First Interstate Bank, U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, and Wyoming Community Bank; and Fort Washakie: Central Bank and Trust.
- It was approved to designate the Riverton Ranger and Lander Journal as the official county newspapers for Fremont County government for 2026, with the remaining newspapers within the county to be used for other purposes.
- Certification Resolution 2026-01 to certify investment firms and authorize Treasurer Anderson and Deputy Treasurer Brian Green to obligate the county with respect to the purchase, sale, transfer, and exchange of any investments was approved.
- Resolution 2026-02 authorizing the release of monies prior to each county payroll distribution via direct deposit was approved.
- Resolution 2026-03, FY 2025–2026 Budget Amendment No. 1, budget transfers from “Opioid Legal Settlement Revenue $301,770 to: K-9 Project $137,980 for opioid detection for law enforcement, and to Volunteers of America/Center of Hope $164,250 for opioid treatment support services,” was approved.
- Resolution 2026-04, “Adoption of the Fremont County/Municipal/Tribal Emergency Operations Plan,” was approved.
- A right-of-way grant/temporary use permit with the Bureau of Land Management was approved for an access road to the Heritage Trail (Rails to Trails).
- Approach access 2025-020A for Peterson Road was approved.
- The Korell Subdivision Lot 2 re-subdivision at the intersection of Minter Lane and Korell Court was approved.
- It was approved to transfer the liquor license from Miners Grubstake to CRRJ LLC, dba Miners Grubstake LLC.
