(Riverton, WY) – At Wind River Job Corps, we are incredibly proud of the compassion and dedication demonstrated by our staff and students.
When Heavy Equipment Operations (HEO) Instructor Bryan Fox brought recent acts of graffiti vandalism in our community to my attention, our team immediately began discussing how we could help. Without hesitation, Petroleum Service Technician Instructor Gilbert Mascarenaz , Heavy Equipment Mechanics (HEM) Instructor Jeff Bates, and their students volunteered their time and effort to assist with the cleanup.
We reached out to several of the organizations impacted by the vandalism to offer our support. While Stitches Embroidery and Trinity Lutheran Church had already arranged for cleanup efforts, the Riverton Museum welcomed our students, giving them the opportunity to serve their community and help restore a valued local landmark.
Acts of service like these reflect the values we strive to instill in our students every day. We are grateful to the Riverton Museum for allowing our students to give back and demonstrate that being a skilled professional also means being a caring and engaged member of the community.
