Lander’s Landon Jones leads eight other Tigers to the Class 3-A State Wrestling Tournament next Thursday at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper after winning the West Regional 144-pound title.
Teammates Ty McWilliams and Henry Quiver reached the finals, both going the distance, but finished second with McWilliams decisioned 10-3 by Talon Nuss at 106 pounds and Quiver dropping a 9-6 decision to Chevy Hill of Powell at 113.
Colin McWilliams, Sawyer Nachazel, and Cody West were third at 126, 150, and 157 pounds respectively.
Jones won the title in a hard-fought 13-9 decision over Timber Van Gieson of Lyman.
