After news broke Wednesday afternoon of an aircraft locating Jose Pereda’s truck, a large search has been underway just off of Gas Hills Rd, southeast of Riverton.
The 70-year-old man has been missing since September 5th.
Wednesday afternoon, a Civil Air Patrol crew out of Powell, reported that they located the truck Pereda was last seen in.
“The Toyota was stuck in a large washout along a Pipeline Road,” said Fremont County Undersheriff Ryan Lee.
Dozens of law enforcement officers from both the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office and Wind River Police Department have been involved in the search, as have search and rescue personnel, and local community members.
Jose’s family has recently offered a $5,000 reward for any information leading to his whereabouts.
