July 14 Fremont County Commission meeting recap

(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 14, and have provided the following recap of the meeting. 

• A contract was approved between the State of Wyoming, Office of the Attorney General, Division of Victims of Crimes and the Fremont County Attorney Victim Witness Program beginning July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, with a reimbursement amount not to exceed $145,219.00. 
• It was approved to renew the radio maintenance contract with ComTech beginning July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 in the annual amount of $39,096.72. 
• Commissioners signatures were approved for the Conflict of Interest Agreement for the Martha Petersdorf Hospital Trust. 
• The 2026 Distribution of $16,000 from the Petersdorf Hospital Trust to the following: $8,000, The Reach Foundation for further distribution to the Riverton Senior Citizens, Inc., Sepiternal Society, Inc., Fremont County Hospice and other such institutions or organizations providing medical services or benefits and comforts for older people not otherwise available in the Riverton area as determined by the Reach Foundation; $5,760 to the Lander Senior Citizens Center; $960 to the High Country (Dubois) Senior Citizens Center; and $1,280 to the Shoshoni Senior Citizens Center; was approved. 
• Resolution 2026-20 “Appointment of a Special Prosecutor” to enter into an agreement with the Lincoln County Attorney’s Office was approved. 
• It was approved for Fremont County Public Health to fill the vacant full-time Nursing Supervisor Position in which the county pays 35% of salary and benefits. 
• An Approach Access Application, 2025-029A, for Honor Farm Road, from SDC Riverton LLC was approved. 
• An Approach Access Application, 2025-030A, for Honor Farm Road from SDC Riverton LLC was approved. 
• Right-of-Way Application, 2025-171U, for Willow Creek Rd from High Plains Power, Inc. was approved.
