(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 21, and have provided the following recap of the meeting.
- A Mineral Material Free Use Permit with the Department of the Interior was approved for the Sweetwater Station Pit.
- A Right-of-way Application from Full Circle Fiber updating the length of bore on Young and Burma Roads was approved.
- It was approved to sign an eligibility verification letter to the Wyoming Homeland Security as a requirement for the 2025 Emergency Management Performance Grant that Fremont County accepted.
- A proposal from Myron L Barton was accepted to act as the Fremont County Board of Equalization Administrative Hearing Officer.
- The Pines at Elk Ridge Estates Second Filing Lot 19 Re-subdivision was approved.
- The Museum budget hearing request was approved to transfer $2,300 from the Wind River Cultural Centers Foundation to The Pioneer Museum Contractual Service for repair of the fire department connection that failed the 5-year inspection test. Also, $5,000 from the Wind River Cultural Centers Foundation and an additional $5,000 from a donor were approved for the Riverton Museum, totaling $10,000 for replacing siding on the gable ends of the museum.
- $400,000 from the Economic Development Fund was approved to distribute to River Peak Hospital to help fund the hospital’s kitchen.
- Resolution 2026-21 to designate Fremont County Association of Governments (FCAG) as the regional emergency medical services lead entity for Fremont County was approved, authorizing FCAG to submit an application under the Wyoming Rural Health Transformation Program, and to declare intent to convey emergency medical services to public oversight.
