(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for a regular meeting on Tuesday, June 9, and have provided the following recap of the meeting.
- A grant agreement with Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments with the county (County Clerk) in compliance with legislation from the 2024 Wyoming Session Laws 139, to complete approved technology changes and upgrades to the critical infrastructure. The grant (not to exceed $10,869.56), to be approved upon receiving a grant request proposal by the County Clerk to implement this law.
- An Approach Access Application from Tara Whaley for 8 Mile Rd was approved.
- An Approach Access Application from Richard and Dorothe Nobles for Lost Wells Butte Dr was approved.
- An Approach Access Application from William & Sarah Dike for Tweed Ln was approved.
- A Right-of-way application for a bore from Dubois Telephone Exchange, LLC for Horse Creek Rd was approved
- The Fremont County Government Office Space Lease agreement and Government Building Use Permit were approved.
- It was approved to purchase an iX-7 Postage Machine with Capital Revolving Funds, to replace the current machine that is not working and will hit end of life within the year.
- A Declaration of Speed Limit was approved for Bee Road to be set at 30 MPH on unpaved roads.
- A Declaration of Speed Limit was approved for Clothesline Road to be set at 55 MPH on paved roads and 35 MPH on unpaved roads.
- A Mineral Material Free Use Permit through the United States Department of the Interior for the Claytor Pit and the Jeffrey City Pit were approved.
- Resolution 2026-16 FY 2025-2026 Budget Amendment No. 5 for unanticipated revenue and budget transfer was approved.
- The following individuals were appointed or reappointed to County Boards and Commissions: Kay Watson, Museum; Josh McNeary and Ron Cunningham, Recreation Commission; Harold Albright and Steve Palmer, Planning Commission.
- It was approved to increase the employee and employer portions of Health Insurance by 1%.
- It was approved to rehire a part-time Fair Custodian at $18 per hour
