All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
(Fremont County, WY) – A July 29 jury trial has been set for Roddeen Ingawanup, who has been charged with felony distribution of methamphetamine and fentanyl, totaling three counts.
Court documents state that while conducting a drug trafficking investigation on the Wind River Reservation and in the District of Wyoming, the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation received information back in March that Ingawanup was distributing controlled substances.
On March 21, 2024, law enforcement was able to successfully secure a transaction for 3.5 grams of suspected methamphetamine and two suspected fentanyl pills from Ingawanup, using the services of a confidential informant.
The next day, on March 22, the confidential informant was able to obtain another six suspected fentanyl pills.
The methamphetamine tested presumptive positive, as did the fentanyl pills from both dates, which were later sent to the Wyoming State Combined Laboratory for further testing and confirmation.
Ingawanup’s jury trial was originally scheduled for July 1, but was later rescheduled for July 29.
If convicted, Ingawanup faces a maximum sentence of 60 years imprisonment, up to $3M in fines, no less than three years to life of supervised release, and $300 in assessment fees.
