Kick off your Thanksgiving with the Lander Turkey Mile!

It’s that time of year! The time for The Lander Turkey Mile, hosted by Fremont Therapy Group’s physical therapist, Robby Lee and his wife Brandy Lee.

The Lander Turkey Mile is a fun run/walk on Thanksgiving morning, that kicks off at 8:30 a.m. The race route starts in Lander City Park, loops through the town on Parks St, and returns to the park on Fremont St.

It is an open event for people of all abilities, whether walking or running. The one-mile distance is a great way to start a day of eating and giving thanks to your family and friends.

Throughout the race, multiple individuals dressed in turkey suits will be running/walking and encouraging everyone along the way. The event’s proceeds benefit the Lander Care & Share Food Bank, which helps feed those in need, especially during the Holiday season.

Those interested in participating can sign up at https://runsignup.com/Race/WY/Lander/LanderTurkeyMile.

If you or someone you know is interested in helping out, we have volunteer slots available on the same website. Volunteers will help give out finisher medals, direct traffic and ensure the event goes smoothly.
