In a likely preview of the opening round of the West 2-A Regional next Thursday in Riverton, the Lady Bobcats of Thermopolis romped over Wind River at Pavillion Tuesday evening, 85-24.
Wind River was in it early behind three 3-point shots by Tanayah Burnett, but lost momentum as if hitting a brick wall beginning in the second period and continuing throughout the entire second.
The Lady Cats executed a devastating 1-3-1 sagging full-court press that produced twice as many turnovers as shot opportunities for the Lady Cougars.

It was off to the races in transition off steals in all areas of the floor for Thermopolis.
Wind River scored just 10 points in the last three periods of the game combined, including a third quarter that saw just a single free throw by Mila Warren.
The Lady Cougars conclude the regular season close to home, making the short trip over the hill for their final conference game of the season against Wyoming Indian on Thursday
