The Lander Lady Tigers won the Class 3-A West Regional at Powell over the weekend behind record-setting performances from sophomore Paisley Hollingshead and junior Adelyn Anderson.
Hollingshead swept her four events, winning the long jump, high jump and both hurdle events. She is not the all-time Lander record holder in all four.
Anderson shattered the Lander discus record held since 1997 by Shelly Dove. Anderson’s throw of 161-6 beat the previous record by 11 feet. She also holds the Lander shot put record from last week at the Shane Brock.
The Lady Tigers’ 4×400 meter relay team of Ava Gerlach, Katy Anderson, Eliza Scott, and Daisy Goklish also won gold.
Lovell, the smallest school in Class 3-A won the boys division.
Lander had a single gold medalist in Gavin Romer in the discus with a throw of 144-1. The Tigers were third as a team.
