(Riverton, WY) – The Lander Lady Tigers won the Riverton Quad Thursday afternoon tallying 399 points to outdistance the second place Lady Wolverines with 311. Evanston and Rawlins were third and fourth.
Lander dominated the meet, winning all three relays. The final relay of the day, the 400-yard freestyle was a photo finish between the Lander A team or Ella Giesmann, Emily Plaisted, Katy Anderson and Shyrone AnesiShoyo and the Lander C quartet of Maizy Delbridge, Brooklyn White, Sierra Selley and Kimi Salway-One Horn. The A team touched in 4:00.54, the C just two-hundredths of a second behind at 4:00.56.
The Lady Tigers most of the individual races as well, including a one through five finish in the 200 yard individual medley with Vayda Havens, Daegan Reinhardt, Emily Plaisted, Sara Kearns and Cira Hampton all breaking the qualifying mark in Class 4-A in the process, though Lander competes in 3-A.
Riverton had a pair of winners in Prestley Barta who raced to first place in the 50 yard freestyle in a state qualifying time of 26.78 and Lily Ormond who also met the 4-A qualifying standard in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:54.32.
