(Riverton, WY) – The Lady Wolverines jumped all over Jackson in the early minutes Friday night in the second round of the Strannigan Classic. Riverton built a 12-0 lead over the Lady Broncs and cruised to a 44-30 win.
The win evens their season at 1-1 with their final game of the classic against top-ranked Cheyenne East at 5 pm.
Riverton’s defense was stellar in the opening half, limiting Jackson to just a single free throw and three long range bombs.
With 3:11 remaining in the opening half Riverton led 14-5 before breaking the game open on a 13-5 run to lead 27-10 at the half.
Taelyn Leseberg led the effort with 15 points.
