The Lady Wolverines avenged an earlier loss to the Lady Broncs in Teton County, 41-35, early Thursday evening. Riverton built an impressive 16-2 lead early in the game, then held off a furious Jackson comeback in the second period.
Jackson junior Ali Fowler was on in the second period, hitting four straight 3-pointers that were so on target that the net barely moved. She had six on the game and led the Lady Broncs with 18 points.
Riverton’s early advantage came on a pair of Taelyn Leseberg treys and close-range shots by Karsyn Vosika, Lexi Taylor, and Timbree Mathill.
Vosika had an outstanding offensive game, finishing with 21 points to lead all scorers.
Play in the second half slowed to a crawl with repeated jump balls. There were over 30 in the game, with both teams tying each other up when a player brought the ball too low on rebounds.
