(Fremont County, WY) – Fremont County 3A rivals, Riverton and Lander remain the only ranked local teams in this week’s Wyopreps.com Coaches & Media poll.
Lander has begun the year 3-0, and after an impressive 50-18 win at Evanston last week remain in the #5 spot. Riverton is off to a 3-1 start. They picked up their second consecutive road victory last week against Green River, 41-21 and have been ranked #3 all season long. Star Valley has been #1 all season, Cody has been #2 all year and Douglas has been #4 all year so far. Jackson is the only other 3A team to receive votes.
3A conference play begins this week with Lander making another long trip to Torrington and Riverton going to Douglas for a ranked showdown. County 10’s YouTube channel will have live broadcasts of both games.
Sheridan remains on top in class 4A after defeating #2 Cheyenne East lat week, Big Horn fended off Mountain View again for 2A’s #1 position, Pine Bluffs tops Greybull in 1A 9-man and Little Snake River is the unanimous choice in 6-man football.
