More than 65 people—most of them local business owners—attended the Lander Chamber of Commerce Mayoral Town Hall on July 29 to hear directly from candidates Alan McOmie, Michelle Motherway, and Missy White.
The discussion was moderated by Joe Kenney, a past Chamber board chair whose father also served in that role, and Joseph Susanka, the Chamber’s current board chair. The program featured 40 minutes of moderated questions, followed by 20 minutes of audience questions covering housing, workforce, permitting, City services, fiscal responsibility, transparency, and the role of the private sector. 
The questions were shaped by more than 80 survey responses and roughly 150 submissions from Chamber members and the broader community.
Voters are encouraged to watch the full town hall before casting their ballots and to keep Lander’s economy and business climate near the top of their priority list.

The conversation continues on August 14 at the Chamber’s Quarterly Luncheon, Business Climate Briefing: Bridging the Gap Through Dialogue. The Chamber will share survey findings, provide expert perspective on emerging business issues, and discuss practical, business-friendly solutions with members, elected officials, and community leaders.
