(Lander, WY) – The Lander City Council will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, in the City Council Chambers at 240 Lincoln Street.
The agenda for the meeting includes a hearing regarding Wild West Warehouse LLC, doing business as the Grizzly Bar and Grill.
The city is alleging that the business is operating their bar and grill license contrary to state statute by failing to cease sales of alcoholic and malt beverages at the time food sales and services cease, according to the notice setting the hearing.
The notice also indicates that the city clerk has received a notice of sales tax delinquency and a sales tax hold notice from the state, and that the business is “the scene of repeated or continuing violations” of local ordinances.
The council will also hold a public hearing on the city budget for fiscal year 2025-2026 during Tuesday’s meeting.
The council will consider a resolution later in the meeting adopting the city budget for 2025-2026.
The following resolutions are also on the agenda:
- approving an updated salary structure
- amending fees and utility rates for water and wastewater service
- setting the city fee schedule for 2025-2026
- exempting the city limits from open container provisions on July 4 from 9 a.m. until midnight
- exempting the parking lot and exterior grounds of the Lander Elks Club, 492 Lincoln Street, from local open container provisions
The council will also consider voting to adopt the city master plan and parks and recreation master plan during Tuesday’s meeting.
Other action items on the agenda include:
- a $35,000 agreement for juvenile supervision services with Juvenile Justice Services of Fremont County
- a contract for rental of the Lander Convention and Community Center
- a change order for high pressure water system upgrades
- a hangar space land lease agreement
- a $10,000 grant agreement with the LOR Foundation for solar panels for the Lander Police Department
The council will also consider two new plats and two replats in various locations.
