The Lander City Council will hold a regular meeting and work session beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, in the City Council Chambers at 240 Lincoln Street.
The agenda for the regular meeting includes six recommendations from the Lander Economic Development Association:
-fund 100 percent of Maven’s request for $50,000 to purchase equipment to build a new M1 Monocular at their Lander facility
-fund 75 percent of Dandelion Farm’s request for $30,415 to purchase a tractor to expand their offerings and move to a larger space
-fund 75 percent of Lander Lobos Baseball’s request for $25,000 to host a Chancy Williams concert during their Pacific Northwest Baseball Tournament
-fund 100 percent of the Climber’s Festival’s request for $15,000 to expand marketing efforts
-fund 75 percent of Elemental Performance’s $20,678 request to expand the gym equipment
-not to fund Wallace Woodworking’s $14,730 request to purchase new equipment to grow his woodworking and contracting business
The council will also consider authorizing or approving:
-a bid award for almost $330,000 for a mechanical street sweeper from Ameritech Equipment
-a Fuel Points Contract between the Wyoming Department of Transportation and the City of Lander for use of WYDOT’s fuel system
-an engagement letter with Summit West PC for audit services
-the Landent Subdivision replat
-donation of malt beverages and alcohol to the Lander Brewfest as Class A industry representatives
There are six new business non-action items on the work session agenda, including:
-a discussion about the Lander Chamber of Commerce MOU and budget request
-a discussion about the Juvenile Justice Services of Fremont County budget request
-a discussion about Lander’s Tree Board
-a discussion about the draft job description for a Parks and Recreation Director position
-a discussion about the fee schedule
The council will also hear a presentation about the Wind River Transportation Association master plan.
