Lander City Council to consider proposed amendments to second-reading zoning ordinance during Tuesday meeting

(Lander, WY) – The Lander City Council will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the City Council Chambers at 240 Lincoln Street.

The agenda includes two public hearings, regarding:

• an ordinance amending the “right-of-way and alley excavations-permits” portion of city code to include utility poles
• an ordinance outlining the city’s Spectrum Charter Franchise Agreement

The council will consider approving both items under new business.

There is only one old business item on the agenda: an ordinance on second reading modifying the zoning portion of the city code.

The zoning code item includes several proposed amendments to the initial ordinance.

Other new business items on Tuesday’s agenda include:

• reappoint James Whiting to another three-year term on the Tiger Joint Powers Board
• appoint Chris Savon to the Planning Commission for a three-year term
• reappoint Kara Colovich to a second three-year term on the Planning Commission
• reappoint Judy Legerski to the Housing Authority Board for a five-year term
• authorize the mayor to sign an updated retainer agreement with City Attorney Adam Phillips
• approve a license for a Lander Community Foundation storage shed to be placed north of the rodeo grounds
• approve a license for Lindsey Washkoviak and Benjamin Elzay for 856 N. Second alley encroachment
• authorize the mayor to sign a Lander Municipal Airport hangar space land lease agreement with Steven Millsap
