(Lander, WY) – The Lander City Council will hold a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, in the City Council Chambers at 240 Lincoln Street.
The agenda for the meeting includes two swearing-in ceremonies for the Lander Police Department: one for David Milovich as Sergeant and another for Casey Tadewald as Corporal.
The council will also hear a presentation about an FBI director’s letter to LPD Chief Waugh.
The last non-action item on the agenda is acknowledgement of the Lander Chamber of Commerce Notice of Termination of MOU and Return of Lodging Tax Administration.
A public hearing will be held Tuesday regarding utility rates for water and wastewater service for fiscal year 2026-2027.
The council will consider approving a resolution setting fees and utility rates for water and wastewater service later in the meeting.
Another action item on the agenda is the approval of an agreement between the governing bodies of Fremont County establishing a distribution framework for the proposed three-quarter percent sales tax that voters will consider approving in August to support commercial air service, public ground transportation, and emergency medical services.
Other action items include:
- a resolution setting the city fee schedule for 2026-2027
- a resolution authorizing open containers within city limits on July 4, 2026
- an agreement with the University of Wyoming and Lander Parks and Recreation
- approve Gannett Peak Estates Phase 2
- authorize staff to enter and pay bills and claims
