(Lander, WY) – The Lander City Council will hold a special regular meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, in the City Council Chambers at 240 Lincoln Street.
The agenda includes a public hearing for an ordinance granting Black Hills Energy a non-exclusive franchise and assigning them the authority to construct, maintain, and operate a gas transmission and distribution system in Lander for the furnishing, transmission, distribution and sale of gas.
Another public hearing will be held for an ordinance repealing Title 3 “Adoption and Enforcement of Uniform Codes and Standards for Mobile and Modular Buildings” and enacting Title 3 “Buildings and Construction” of the Lander Municipal Code.
The council will consider approving both ordinances on first reading later in the meeting.
Under old business, the council will consider approving an ordinance on third and final reading rezoning the Popo Agie River Park Addition from R-3 Single and Multi-Family Residential to PL-Public Lands.
The council will also consider approving two ordinances on second reading: one granting a franchise to Wind River Internet to operate and maintain a telecommunications system in town, and another amending the age requirements for tobacco products in the Lander Municipal Code.
Under new business, the council will consider approving a resolution adopting the City of Lander Strategic Plan.
The council will also consider approving a resolution waiving utility late fees and suspending shut offs for three billing cycles.
Other new business items on the agenda include:
- approve S 25.09 Capitol Hill Addition, Blk 129, lots 11-12
- approve an airport hangar lease agreement with Randall E. Frost
