(Lander, WY) – The Lander City Council will hold a work session and regular meeting beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, in the City Council Chambers at 240 Lincoln Street.
The agenda for the work session includes five items:
- staff updates
- presentation of final designs for the Popo Agie River Park Pathway
- discussion concerning the potential suspension of the city’s economic development grant program
- funding discussion with Wind River Transportation Authority director Tim Nichols
- Fremont Air Service Team explanation of minimum revenue guarantee funding
Regular meeting
The agenda for the regular meeting includes a public hearing for an application for a new bar and grill liquor license at 692 Main Street.
The council will consider approving the application later in the meeting.
Under unfinished business, the council will consider approving two ordinances on second reading:
- an ordinance amending the street, right-of-way, and alley excavations permits portion of city code to include utility poles
- a franchise agreement ordinance with Spectrum Pacific West
New business action items on the agenda include:
- approve seasonal equipment operator job description
- revoke encroachment license with K&L Investments, 865 N. Second
- authorize the mayor to sign an encroachment license for 856 N. Second
- discuss and vote on winter Wyoming Association of Municipalities voting delegate
The council will also consider approving three economic development grants – for Lander Girls Softball League Complex Improvements, Arcade, and NOLS Fest (60th Anniversary Celebration) – then consider approving the suspension of the city’s economic development grant program.
