Lander City Council to hear ‘state land swap’ update during Tuesday meeting

(Lander, WY) – The Lander City Council will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, in the City Council Chambers at 240 Lincoln Street.

The agenda includes the administration of the oath of office for Lander Police Department Captain Levi Martson.

The council will also hear an update on the “state land swap” outlined in Enrolled Act 39.

New business action items on the agenda include:

• appoint Jonathan Rensch to the Planning Commission
• approve a Black Hills Energy Service Line Agreement
• authorize the mayor to sign a Street Lighting Agreement with Rocky Mountain Power
• authorize the mayor to sign an Azora Master agreement
• approve a short form agreement with HDR Engineering for professional services in connection with the Buena Vista Water and Roadway Improvements Project
• approve a Water Meter Replacement Project Change Order with Metron-Fernier decreasing the contract price by $11,449
• approve Lincoln Street Improvement Project Change Order No. 3 for High Country Construction increasing the contract price by $35,456

Under old business, the council will consider approving an ordinance on second reading fixing and determining the mill levy necessary to raise sufficient money by general tax to meet the current expenses of the City of Lander for the fiscal year starting July 1.

Tuesday’s meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on Zoom.
