(Lander, WY) – The Lander City Council will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, in the City Council Chambers at 240 Lincoln Street.
The agenda includes four public hearings, for:
- a resolution amending the fiscal year 2024-2025 budget
- an ordinance establishing comprehensive regulations for Lander’s public and private community forest
- an ordinance amending compensation for officers and employees
- an ordinance granting a franchise to Visionary Communications
The council will consider approving all four items later in the meeting.
Under unfinished business, the council will consider approving a second reading ordinance rezoning a parcel on Smith Creek Road from multi-family residential to agricultural.
The council will also consider approving a resolution updating the construction plans for the Baldwin Creek/South Ninth Complete Streets Project.
Other action items on the agenda include:
- approve a resolution amending job descriptions for the assistant public works director and police chief
- authorize the mayor to sign an advertising agreement
- approve a contract for appeal representation
- award an $85,818 bid for two 2026 AWD Dodge Durango Pursuit Vehicles
An executive session will be held to consider the purchase of real property.
After the executive session, the council will consider authorizing the mayor to sign a real estate purchase agreement for a .76 acre tract of land.
