Lander City Council to hold regular meeting, work session Tuesday

(Lander, WY) – The Lander City Council will hold a regular meeting and work session beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, in the City Council Chambers at 240 Lincoln Street.  

The agenda for the regular meeting includes a presentation of commendations to Lander Police Officers Jason Hanson, Ethan Borchardt, and Shawn McRae in recognition of their life-saving actions.

The council will also hold a public hearing regarding an application to transfer ownership and location of a retail liquor license from Wyoming Catholic Food Services, 306 Main Street, to Solstice 12 doing business as Baldwins at 388 Main St. Suite B.

The council will consider approving the application later in the meeting.

Other new business action items on the agenda include:

• authorize the mayor to sign an airport hangar space land lease agreement
• approve and authorize the mayor to sign a task order with Ardurra Group, Inc. for the Apron Reconstruction-Bidding & CA Services project
• approve a pay request for the Jefferson Street Extension CDBG project
• approve a pay request for substantial completion on the Gannett Peak Safe Routes project
• approve Gannett Peak Change Order 3 for final in-place quantity adjustments per contract
• authorize the mayor to sign a Retainage Joint Account Agreement with Wilson Brother’s Construction for the Buena Vista Water and Roadway Improvement Project
• approve and authorize the mayor to sign an Acceptance of Quote with CivicPlus for agenda and meeting management
• approve and authorize the mayor to sign an Acceptance of Quote with CivicPlus for the City of Lander municipal website
• approve and authorize the mayor to sign a Notice of Award and Notice to Proceed for the Hunt Field-Apron Reconstruction & Replace Beacon Project to Century Companies, Inc. for $3.2 million
• approve and authorize the mayor to sign the $35,000 Juvenile Justice Services of Fremont County Agreement for fiscal year 2026-2027
• approve and authorize the mayor to sign an Acceptance of Quote with CivicPlus for virtual training on the recreational management system

An executive session for potential litigation will be held before adjournment.

The agenda for the work session includes a discussion regarding potential revisions to the city’s current bicycle ordinances, including potential regulations for electric bicycles.

The council will also discuss pages 30-62 of the proposed new City of Lander Employee Manual.
