(Lander, WY) – The Lander City Council will hold a special meeting and work session beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28, in the City Council Chambers at 240 Lincoln Street.
The agenda for the special meeting includes three public hearings, regarding:
- an ordinance granting a franchise to Northern Arapaho Tribal Industries Inc. doing business as Wind River Internet to operate and maintain a telecommunications system in the City of Lander
- an ordinance amending Title 2 Sale, Licensing and Use of Alcoholic Malt Beverages
- an ordinance amending Section 7-10-1 through 7-10-6 Tobacco Products – Age Requirements within the City of Lander
The council will consider approving all three ordinances on first reading later in the meeting.
Under unfinished business, the council will consider approving a second reading ordinance rezoning the Popo Agie River Park Addition from R-3 Single and Multi-Family Residential to PL Public Land.
The council will also consider approving a resolution adopting the Lander Police Department policy and procedure manual.
Other action items on the special meeting agenda include:
- approve a resolution amending a resolution appointing the Lander Economic Development Association (LEDA) as the city’s Economic Development Commission
- approve and authorize the mayor to sign an updated agreement with LEDA
- approve a customer-requested work agreement with Rocky Mountain Power for a $2,891 work order
- approve a Lincoln Street Project change order increasing the contract price by almost $134,700 and increasing the days to completion by 32 days plus winter
There are two non-action items on the work session agenda:
- Title 4 proposed changes discussion with the Lander Planning Commission
- Title 3 proposed policy changes
