The City of Lander is pleased to announce that six applications have been received to fill the Ward 2 vacancy. Following Title 12-5-2, the City of Lander is proceeding with the process to fill the Ward 2 seat vacated by Mayor Missy White upon her transition from councilmember to mayor. Applications were available March 12 through April 1, 2025. To qualify, candidates must be registered voters and residents of both the City of Lander and Ward 2 for at least one year, per W.S. 22-23-301 and W.S. 22-23-103(b). Eligibility is currently under review.

- Bradley (B. Jay) Greer
- Michael Holland
- Josef Lopez
- Daniel R. McLane
Mayor Missy White stated, “I’m pleased to see that multiple candidates applied for the Ward 2 vacancy. It’s heartening to know that the spirit of service is strong in our town.”
Eligible applicants will be interviewed by council members for the position on April 15, 2025, during a City Council work session, beginning at 6:00 PM. The council members will vote to appoint an applicant to the Ward 2 vacancy by majority vote during a special regular City Council meeting on April 22, 2025.
