(Lander, WY) – The Lander City Council will hold a work session and special meeting beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, in the City Council Chambers at 240 Lincoln Street.
The agenda for the work session includes an annual update from the senior center and a discussion regarding overtime policy.
The council will also hear a presentation from Wyoming Business Council CEO Josh Dorrell on how the WBC can assist local governments with economic development.
The agenda for the special meeting includes the swearing-in of Ethan Borchardt as Lander Police Officer II and the appointment and swearing-in of Kristen Koehn as the City Treasurer.
Under unfinished business, the council will consider approving an ordinance on second reading granting a non-exclusive franchise to Black Hills Energy to construct, maintain, and operate a gas transmission and distribution system in Lander for the furnishing of gas.
Under new business, the council will consider approving the appointment of Marcus Krall to the Urban Forest Council/Tree Board.
Other new business action items on the agenda include:
- a resolution for the adoption of the Fremont County/Municipal/Tribal Emergency Operation Plan
- approve removal of Charri Lara from all city accounts
- approve the addition of new City Treasurer Kristen Koehn to all city accounts, effective Feb. 2
- approve and authorize the mayor to sign an Independent Contractor Agreement with the Wyoming Association of Municipalities for professional accounting and bookkeeping services
