(Lander, WY) – “Successful” is an understatement regarding the Lander Valley High School girls soccer team’s last three outings. Hunter Roseberry’s squad remains the third ranked girls 3A team in the WyoPreps.com Coaches & Media poll, trailing only Park County opponents, Cody and Powell. They’ll see both of those opponents on the road this week!
April 15 Lander rolls Pinedale 13-0
Goals came fast and furious for the Lady Tigers. Brinlee Hammond put three in the net for a hat trick. Brit Richards and Blue Blackburn scored twice. Elli Alcaraz, Fineley Morton, Claire Francom and Hadley Weston each had a single goal. Meanwhile, keeper Angelina Rudd and the LVHS defense managed a shutout in the convincing win.
April 23 Lander blasts Lyman 8-0
Another big Tiger win. Once again, Brit Richards and Blue Blackburn each scored twice. Elli Alcaraz also kicked two in. Karlee Freese and Brinlee Hammond sent one in a piece. Angelina Rudd and the Lander defense secured their second shutout in a row.
April 25 Tigers claw Buffalos 6-0
Lander knocked off Mountain View Saturday. For a third consecutive time, both Blue Blackburn and Brit Richards had two goals each. Brinlee Hammond and Finley Morton scored the others. Defensively, you guessed it, Angelina Rudd and the Tiger defense didn’t allow a single goal.
Next Up:
A couple of big road tests for the Lander ladies happen this week. Tuesday, it’s #3 Lander visiting #2 Powell. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
Lander will then visit #1 Cody on Thursday, April 30th at 3:00 p.m.
LVHS has two remaining home games, Friday, May 8th versus Pinedale and Thursday, May 14th versus Lyman.
