(Lander, Wyo.) – State Representative Lloyd Larsen (R-Lander) retained his seat in the Wyoming Legislature, turning back a challenge from Lander City Council member Democrat Mark Calhoun, 2,305 votes to 2,073. Larsen sits on the Joint Appropriations Committee, the most powerful committee in the legislature. Calhoun, who won a write-in campaign to be elected to the city council two years ago, won another write-in campaign to face Larsen in this general election, but fell just 232 votes short.
