(Casper, WY) – Five members of the Lander Legacy Wrestling Club earned state championships last weekend at the Wyoming Amateur Wrestling Association (WAWA). The three-day Casper event saw over 2,000 wrestlers compete in three styles; folkstyle, freestyle and greco.
Lander Legacy Club President Eric Watson told County 10 that in comparison to many of the clubs, Lander brought a pretty small number of competitors, just 25.
1 / 5th of the team won championships, including Abram Swift who placed first in two styles. Lander also had many wrestlers who placed 2nd thru 6th.
